Eats
Sherwood - be sure to try the asparagus, they take a horrible vegetable and make it mouthwatering (you may be the youngest one eating, but definitely a must-try!)
Patisserie - AKA TOP NOTCH PASTRIES. We went once every morning (or twice) to get these scrupulous treats. They offer a wide sweet and savory selection that are baked fresh daily.
Rosalie's Cucina - one of the best authentic Italian restaurant we've had! the charcuterie offers a selection of many meats/cheeses that will wow your pallet! definitely try pairing the cheese, fresh (unlimited) bread, and honey.
Doug's Fish Fry - stop by this local fried seafood shack, serving their famous fish sandwich!
Skaneateles Skoops - this ice cream shop offers a flavor for every palette.
Gilda's - sometimes on vacation, you just feel like a small woodfired, fresh pizza. Gilda's flavor profiles put a unique twist on the classic Italian flavors.
Vermont Coffee Co. - This chocolate boutique houses a cute little café in the back to fulfill your daily coffee fix.
What To Do
Rent Paddleboards @ Skanmarina - we had a great experience here and each rented a paddleboard for a few hours one morning. If you want to check it out, rental information can be found here: https://www.skanmarina.com/our-rentals
Walk + Window Shop in Town - Skaneateles offers a selection of local boutiques. Even if you don't buy anything, they sure are cute to look through!
Go to the Lake - use the lakefront and park in front of it to relax, tan, swim or finish a book. The grassy area in front of the water offers a beautiful view and benches.
Dickens' Christmas - during late November and December you can find this festive Christmas festival. You can meet the Dickens characters (even Scrooge), eat fresh baked goods, drink hot chocolate, carol and more! It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.
Where To Stay
Airbnb - We stayed a house around a mile outside of town and loved the hot tub feature. It was cost-effective and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Here's the link to where we stayed: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34093943?adults=2&children=3&previous_page_section_name=1000&federated_search_id=de2cacf1-c89d-431b-ae05-b93ac9f4def7
Sherwood Inn - also hosting a spectacular restaurant downstairs, this place also offers rooms to stay in! Located on the main street of the town and directly across from the lake, this lodging is perfect!
